that it should be declared holy ground and made into a park memorial, rather than have another building put up?

Sorry, left out the "L".

No, I think the greatest memorial you could build for those who died is to rebuild the towers.

***EDIT***

I feel the buildings should be rebuilt, but with some changes. I think a plaque should be above the doors of each building saying something like, "They will not defeat us, and those who died did not die in vain." I'm sure someone else can make the words sound much more eloquent. I also feel that there should be some sort of indoor "memorial park" in each tower on the floors where the airplanes hit.

Personally, I don't believe in making any spot on earth a holy ground were someone died. When I drive on the highway I see all these crosses left from families who have lost loved ones. I feel that their body , soul and spirit is no longer there but with that being said I know many people find comfort in leaving a memorial behind and I'm OK with that also whatever is going to help them get through their tough times.

some part of it is being made into a memorial but I seriously doubt you can convince the city of New York to make the entire site a park and lose all that office space.

No. Don't family members want those bones so they can have a proper burial. If every piece of land with bones on it became holy ground and a park, I think we'd have a whole lot more parks and nothing else.

Absolutely--only a completely infernal person would want to erect another building there--can you imagine if you had to go into a building constructed on that site? I wouldn't feel right at all, with how many people died there--it should have been made sacred even before they started finding more bones

It would be the best use of that site. People in NY should push for that, actually, we all should, by writing the President and congress people.

I WENT TO THE OKLAHOMA CITY MEMORIAL.IT IS BEAUTIFUL.MY HEART FELT SO MANY THINGS AS I WEPT FOR THE LIVES OF SO MANY LOST.
ACROSS THE STREET THEY HAVE A HUGE STATUE OF JESUS.WITH JESUS BACK TURN FROM THE MEMORIAL.A PLAQUE THAT READ "JESUS WEPT"
SO MANY PEOPLE AT THE FOOT OF JESUS PRAYING.
MY 3 YEAR OLD GRANDDAUGHTER LAID HER LITTLE HAND ON JESUS FOOT."DON'T CRY JESUS THE BABIES ARE IN HEAVEN NOW,WITH GOD."
EVERYONE AROUND BEGAN TO CRY.
MY HUSBAND SAID "OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF BABIES AND SUCKLING"
I HOPE THEY BUILD SOMEKIND OF MEMORIAL,EVEN IF IT IS SMALL.
