At point of losing temper, take a deep breath (one or two) ans say to yourself, "not now". Do it and feel the difference

well my friends always make fun of me and i have very bad tempers so what i do is take a deep breath and relax and if that doesn't work i leave the room if i can or just ignore them and go somewhere else.but if i'm really hurt i can't control my temper but i rather go somewhere, where i can relax and think over what i did to get myself very hurt or yell back at them to get it out and then go to the bathroom and cry it out if the yell didn't work.

really when you lose one of your friends because of your temper, you will start to think about how to control your temper?. i have been in this situation b4 3 years...now i am totally changed from b4 .the solution is in your hand try to run from everything make you temper ,leave the room if the discussion make you angry, wash your face ,breath so deeply,try to make a joke b4 anger get you , try to smile in the faces and a lot.......
really don't make something irresponsible make you lose your Friend or someone you love .

Remember that you have nothing good to gain when you burst out in anger. But if you really can't control it attack the pillow, or simply tear some old newspapers. You can also read the Bible for best advices. Remember that advices from norm. people can be sometimes dangerous.
Some simple steps you can try:
Breathe deeply, from your diaphragm; breathing from your chest won't relax you. Picture your breath coming up from your "gut."
Slowly repeat a calm word or phrase such as "relax," "take it easy." Repeat it to yourself while breathing deeply.
Use imagery; visualize a relaxing experience, from either your memory or your imagination.
Nonstrenuous, slow yoga-like exercises can relax your muscles and make you feel much calmer.
Practice these techniques daily. Learn to use them automatically when you're in a tense situation.

there is no way to stop the anger when it comes. many say take deep breathe, count 1 to 10 or drink lot of water. but nothing works when we are angry for what so ever. the only time when anger is controlled even we are hurt is when the the anger giver is a strong one or policeman.

I know you have probably heard this before but what really helps me is i will just stop what I'm doing and close my eyes and take several deep breaths in.. it really helps calm me down.. I have a real bad anger problem.. I don't hurt people physically but i yell and say things i shouldn't or i throw things.. but DON'T do that!! I have learned that if i stop and take deep breaths and close my eyes it helps some of the anger escape

A conscious effort from your side will help you. And of course communication is the key to success!Let out your anger & frustration in front of a good friend of yours who can LISTEN without passing judgements.
Yoga will be of great help to calm you down.
Elders say if very angry, DRINK A GLASS OF WATER & you'll cool down in no time!

well temper can con-troll weak people ,but i know you are strong because you seek help! they way i can con-troll my temper is that instated of me getting mad and hot headed i just laugh it off!!! the more I'm pist the more i laugh louder , people try to get you mad but if you laugh at them they will lose there minds and and you see how weak they are.
