Seriously?? Its a bird,, waterfowl to be exact.
There are many types of geese..
Wild geese
and Domestic type farm geese
Geese are geese and they are not mixes of 2 other kinds of birds like ducks and swans..
Geese mate for life and will not select a new mate or breed with a different mate unless the other mate is killed.
Wild Migratory Geese migrate the same route every year , the route they were shown as a youth by thier parents.. and usually return to thier birth place in spring.
Geese poop on average 1 time every 10-15 minutes...
Its not good to feed wild geese.. Never try to catch a wild goose.. Its not only illegal but a wild goose is strong enough to break bones in a human arm.
A gooses bones are hollow and porous.. This makes them light weight for flight
Imagine what a dry loofah looks like
They have a 4 chambered heart like humans and many air sacs located through out the body.. they are extremely efficient at oxygenting for long flights.
Geese are good indicators of the enviromental health where they live... healthy geese usually mean good water etc...
Geese do NOT have a sphincter muscle and so can not be litter box trained or trained like a dog to go in one place or wait.. when they have to go they go...
Geese do not have teeth but do have a tongue. They have ridges on the edges of the bill that act like a sieve to filter out edible material in the water when they go along the bottom of a pond, lake or river.
A goose bite can break skin open and if they feel threatened or are cornered where they can not fly off they will attack and may not back off either.. You do not want to tangle with an angry Goose!
There you goo
