Yes and No. Depends on whether there's God in the first place.

My uncle does not believe in God. He turned 64 this month and is one of the best people I know. He simply follows the Golden Rule. I myself would feel lost without faith in God. To believe that a greater being exists and that there is life beyond this life, helps to keep things in perspective for me.
Life with and without God is as fulfilling as the person makes it.

Everyone loves to believe that a big brother figure is always there to protect them in benevolence.
Some say religion is for the weak but they are the fools.
I on the other hand am a happy agnostic and since we lack the means to comprehend reality of god and man and since such an analysis will never be useful, I'll stick to agnosticism.

Sure you can. I figured out the answer about age 12. Here is a wonderful website to help you figure this out for yourself using your own brainpower. It is:
www.whydoesgodhateamputees.com
This website is very well done. If you are inclined to be a reader, there is a fantastic and very short book (less than 100 pages) on the NYTimes best seller list called "Letter to a Christian Nation" by Sam Harris. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to know anything about religion.

It all depends on how would you like to live. Even cats and dogs live. If you beleive in dignified living, beleive in God.
The real problem is every body mistakes self realisation for selfishness. If one goes to that extent of self realisation then the question of living with or without will never arise in him. Because he would have realised he is part parcel of GOD.

I have recently released myself from the bondage of organized religion, yet I do not believe there is a world without God, whomever that may be, female, male, form, formless etc. I believe that God Does Not act on us, but sort of places us all in a big box and lets us act and have agency to act good or bad on this earth. If he were to intervene, he would be accused of micromanaging us. We would expect him to stop the killing in the Sudan, or help Susie find her lost puppy, or keep our lovedones from dying etc. But as we know, 6-8 million Jews died and we have to believe that at least a few of them prayed fervently just prior to dying in the furances etc., yet no God appeared to save them! We have to believe that if there is a God, and I do believe there is, that he does NOT intervene in our lives. Thus, we ARE in a large sense on our own. I can feel the way you are describing and still believe in God, I just can't believe that he will answer my prayers or that he will intervene and help Susie find her lost puppy or help USC win all it's games this year, or help the Hutu's and Tutsie's get along. I believe in God, I just gave up the belief that he answers prayers or intervenes in my life. If something good happens in my life, I thank him for that, not because I really think he made it happen for me, but because I want to have a thankful heart. Likewise, when lovedones die or tragic, horrible things happen, I don't rush to judge God and curse him/her. I just think "**** happens," and no one is to blame, except the individual tha causes the pain, then carma will take care of him/her - we don't have to believe in some giant judgment day. Good Luck!

I tried that and I hated myself because I worshiped myself. I am liberated and I am continually empowered daily because Nothing can separate me from the love of God and I will continue to serve him. Try it again without pride!

Could I?, yes.
Would I?, no.
Empowered that I am on my own - in this scary world? Never. Right now he promises me and all His children His faithful love, guidance and protection. This world is not what it's all about - anyway. He's preparing a place for me as His child for all eternity. Can't wait.
and BTW - it's God, not god.

I can, but why? My god is in all living things. We all have a spark of the divine within us, making all of us connected.
I have lived without god, & i feel no compuntion to tell him how great he is. Then again, i don't beleive god is a "he".
Watch a dog smile, a snake eat dinner, and a shooting star.
Do any of these make you feel awe?
To me that is the divine experience.
There's spirituality after god.
