You should continue to be friends, however, you should do all you can to help your friend see that her idea of sleeping with some guy is not only a BAD idea--it is egregiously DANGEROUS in more ways than one! If necessary, you might need to bring in a trusted adult. She's considering playing with fire here. At 12, she's way too young for this type of activity! The psychological, emotional, and physical damage that would happen here is just too great to gamble with. If there's something there, it's best to wait!

People are not at all perfect. If you're expecting your friends to be perfect and to always have the best judgement, then you will be very disappointed. Part of being a friend is being a friend even when the other person has made HUGE mistakes. That is when people need friends the most. What good is a friend if they'll only support you during the good times? Your friend is making a huge mistake. She may not realize it, but she is. As her friend you just need to be there for her. Try to talk some sense into her but if that fails then just stand by her. You don't have to agree with everything she does. You can let her know you don't condone it but you are still a friend.

And good for you for realizing what a mistake it is to be sexually active at such a young age!

Are you kidding. Stop her please. As much as you think you know about sex, at 12, you don't know anything, or anything about pregnancy, disease, love, life, blah, blah, blah. I waited unti I was 16 and I still didn't know squat and probably should have waited if for nothing else than just the my lack of maturity to handle sex. You have no idea what is in store if by some tragedy she becomes pregnant.

As much fun as I found teenage sex to be, I was playing Russian roulette everytime and was lucky I didn't get girls pregnant. It was stupid but you will not be able to understand the consequences of such stupid actions until you are much older. Kids are used to thinking every problem has a simple solution. Pregnancy and STD's are not simple, they are for the rest of your life. Be a kid, talk on the phone, hang out at the mall, do whatever kids do these days but leave sex until you are much, much older. This is not a lecture from somebody's dad, only advice from someone who luckily avoided a life changing mistake when he was young.

You should take her to someone who can talk some sense into her. She is only 12 and thinking of sleeping around!! Does she know what kind of diseases there are out there - does she want to expose herself to it, at such a young age. Be a true friend and explain it to her - if you cannot, get her to your teacher or and older person. She should not be thinking of sleeping around at this age or any other age.

Tell your friend to talk to a trusted adult, or at least go to planned parenthood, and learn about what she is thinking of. I think it's WAY too emotional a thing for a person 12 to do. Sex is not a toy.

don't stop being friends with her! no matter what she does she needs to know that there will always be someone to turn to. but definitely tell her what you think about what shes doing. if she doesn't listen then that's her problem but she will need you when she realizes what shes done. if you leave her now she will only keep making that same stupid mistakes.

What do you think there is to do? It is HER life, HER body. As for being friends that is for you to decide.
