It gives the demetions of Noah's ark in the Torah, but it really doesn't seem useful information, God could have said he told Noah to build a really big boat. For that matter why did he specify the dimentions of the boat to Noah? A boat that was wider would use less wood. If you say there is no God then why would the author give this detail, it is extremely specific to be just a myth.

I already heard one answer to this but it had to do with Gematria which I don't think is the only

The Torah is the 5 books of Moses for you Christians.

I do not think that testing a scale model of a boat in this world is a sufficient reason.

Well, the purpose could of been for use in today's world. Think about it, they used the measurements to duplicate the arc in miniature form to see if it could really float in such a storm, and it did!

Lets see, if the Torah is the scriptures from whence the christian bible comes from then it would/should follow that most of what is in the Christian bible would be in the Torah.
