I mean, isn't the toothpaste suppose to clean it out and kill the germs out? It's disgusting to hear they mate, eat the food that's left, and go poop in your mouth. BLECK!

because if they didn't go away from your mouth, you would have a difficult time breaking down the food that enters your mouth, and probably a difficult time regulating the chemicals in saliva too. they're good bacteria, they may be nasty things, but they're on our side!

The only way to destroy the organisms is to sterilize. Sterilization takes heat under pressure - that would kill you so we can only disinfect and clean your mouth - i.e. some bugs remain. Your mouth is warm, moist and full of nutrients the bugs eat and reproduce and you need another professional cleaning. Thank you for my paycheque!

lol, sorry buddy, those organisms are there to stay. the toothpaste (pref. colgate total) puts a coating on your teeth to prevent your teeth from this 'acid attack'. but yes, the little buggers do eat your sugar and poop in your mouth. all i can say is cut back on the sugar and acidic foods (they lower the Ph balance in your mouth and allow the sugars and bacteria through), use colgate total, ACT flouride rinse, gum with xylitol in it, and floss.
