anything guys can do to convince them one way or another? We have been going out for a few months now, and things are, or were, getting serious, then she just pulled back. We've been able to talk finally about all this, and it comes down to she is just torn between what she wants. I am pretty sure she got hurt BAd somewhere back, and apparently isn't past that. We have dropped the L word on each other and I know when "one" of her says it, she MEANS it, but the "other" her is so scared of...I don't even know, getting hurt I guess. Just give her space right? We had a real deep heart to heart tonight (inc. a teary kiss goodnight), how long would you wait to hear from her or call?

I don't know. I pulled this same stuff on my former boyfriend a while back. I really thought I loved him one minute and even said it, and then all these doubts and confusion would pour up. I think deep down I knew he wasn't it for me the whole time, but he was such an incredible person that I hated myself for not feeling as strongly and was sure I could work on it. Well I couldn't, so I broke up with him.
Low and behold those "strong" feelings I was waiting for surfaced only after he cut off ALL contact with me. Suddenly I wanted him back real bad and even contemplated pulling one of those "huge romantic gesture moves" that you see in the movies. Well I didn't. And I'm glad I didn't because all the same doubts would have resurfaced again...
This might have sucked to hear, and all situations are different, but I hope this helps at least give you a different perspective...

You can't influence how someone thinks or predict how they're really going to react. What you should do is just be yourself, be loving and supportive and let her decide if she's a future with you.
