I have been baptized, and I have asked Jesus in to my heart, but for some reason I feel as though I have not been Saved. Can anyone tell me why?

To all of the nonbelievers out there, with you smart little remarks, may I not have to burn in Hell with you.

What does being saved feel like, do you think? Salvation isn't an emotion. And while there are emotional side effects of one's connection with God, the evidence isn't in the emotional life alone.

Have you repented your sins? Were you truly sorry? Do you truly believe that Jesus died for your sins and offers you salvation? You must search your mind and heart for answers to these questions. Nobody else can provide them for you.

I would suggest that you seek God's will for your life. Pray that he teach you gratitude and humility. Ask him to increase your faith. The crucial component is to spend time each day in prayer to God, in order to come to know him better. Also, read his Word; get involved in Bible study with a group of people who also want to learn.

There is much you can do.

The bible says if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. Have you done this? Of course salvation depends on repentance of sin...that is why we need to be saved. Have you asked forgiveness of your sins? Also, this is just the first step in being a believer in Jesus. Then we have to find a good church that teaches the bible, and learn how God would have us live. That is what makes a Christian's life so full and beautiful; coming to know God's word and seeing how God would have us live while we are on this earth.

You need to ask yourself what you are basing your salvation on? Are you looking at your Baptism as some finishing process for your salvation?
Romans 3:23 tells us "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" Then in Romans 6:23 "For the payment of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord" Romans 10:9 " If you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead the third day, thou shalt be saved" Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved"
1. Admit that you are a sinner
2. Believe that Christ is the only way to heaven
3. Confess your sins before Him.

First of all, don't get mad at the nonbelievers for their ears are closed and their eyes can not see. Pray for them instead.

In answer to your question, it is like literally being born again. A baby doesn't know everything right away. Give it time and keep searching and studying God's word. Ask him in prayer to lead you closer to him. One day, Jesus will give you the most wonderful experience by letting you feel the presence of God with you. It takes time, you are new, but you will feel his presence if you are diligent to follow God's word and keep praying, searching and studying.

Also, remember, salvation is a gift from Jesus through his sacrafice, not an emotion. If you truley repented and asked Jesus to save you and come into your life, he IS there!! He promised!

God Bless and welcome to the family of God!

You are right to want the assurance that salvation through Jesus Christ brings. There is no peace like it in the entire world.
First and most importantly, If you have a Bible please read Ephesians 2; 8-9. "It is by grace you have been saved, thru faith and that not of yourself, It is a gift of God, not of works so that no man can boast." Salvation comes from not anything we do, but what God thru the Holy Spirit does for us. Acts 16:31 "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved. " If you believe that God is real, and that He is incapable of lying then you must know that if you have truly put your faith and trust in the One God has provided as Our Sacrifice then you have to know that you are saved, now and forever. John 3;16 "For God, loved the world so much, that He gave His Only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." It doesn't say you might have it, it says you will have it and it's eternal, or forever. It can never be taken from you no matter what! John 10; 28-30 "And I give unto them eternal life and they will never perish and noone will snatch them out of my hand My Father who has given them to me is greater than all, and noone is able to snatch them out of my Father's hand." If you truly believe God's Word then you should have peace that you are saved forever. Nothing you or anyone else can do can undo what God has done in you.

Perhaps you are a sensitive individual who makes decisions according to your feelings. When we become saved we do it by FAITH, so we are not supposed to depend on our feelings, we are to trust in the promises of God and not our feelings. Our feelings can change like the wind, but God's promises never change. The bible refers to our feelings as "the heart".
Jer 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it!

It's a process. You won't change instantly. We all have ups and downs and I believe that if you seek out a pastor or someone in your church that you can trust to mentor you that you can get through this. Don't just rely on feelings but on what the bible says. Remember to stay in prayer and look for opportunities to grow in your faith.

I tried getting saved but for some reason my neural uplink keeps crapping out right in the middle of it.

Time to upgrade to the next model, I guess, either that or buy a larger hard drive.

If you do not feel it in your heart, you're going to burn, Sinner. The way to Righteousness and Glory everlasting is to accept Jesus into your heart and admit you are a sinner. You have not done that. You still hold back. You still believe you're better than Jesus. You are going to burn in hellfire for blaspheming in His Name, Praise Jesus.

You will burn, may I never lose my faith and burn with you, Sinner!

maybe there are things in your life that still need to be changed.

maybe you're holding things from god, holding pain or anger, and you should just give it up to him.

just keep praying about it and keep working on it - it will come, i promise you! i hope that you will one day find the joy that i find in knowing i'm saved!
