I like women with a bit of both, really. Having strictly one or the other can produce someone who is WAY too conservative, or WAY too open. I'm not saying that this is the way they will turn out, but mixed with the wrong things it is entirely possible.
I like a woman who respects herself and her body and doesn't flaunt it everywhere to get what she wants.
I like a woman that is open to suggestions and doesn't mind trying new things.
I like a woman that is open-minded about world issues such as gay-marriage, abortion, and other such things without having to argue for or against something. Just being able to discuss it like any other issue is good.
It's all well and good to dress in a way that you are comfortable, but wearing mini skirts, 5 layers of makeup, and having a roll of baby fat poking out from under your top is not a good look for anyone.
And no, I'm not picking on overweight people. I'm just saying that people need to dress appropriately for their size and age. Would you really want a 50 year old woman that carries more fat than a McDonalds fry vat wandering around in a high cut mini skirt with a top on that looks like it's made from lycra bike shorts?
Not fun at all. This is why a balanced mix of modern and old fashioned is good for anyone - not just women.
Respect is the most important thing to have for both yourself and others though, no matter how you dress, or how you look.

Its easy to look on the past as being better then the present. We are not there! My boyfriend and I have this argument all the time. I have to remind him that if things went back to those ways we also wouldn't have all the good things that we do now. Sure there wasn't divorce...this also meant that if a man beat his wife she would stay anyway....sure famlies were more stable but that is because women didn't work. I agree that people look like garbage at work however in order to have the great personal freedom we have today it means that some will do things that others don't like. Before the sexual revolution women were in a crappy spot. Imagine what it must have been like to have to rely solely on the males in your life. Maybe you have a great dad but what about women who don't. Imagine if after graduating high school your only options were to get married and have babies (yes birth control was illeagle) or have a lower paying job then a man (double wage standards)...hey until fairly recently in many states it was legal for a man to rape his wife... I'm not a feminist, I just appriciate the face that I'm a 25 year old female who owns a small business (not likely back then!) and lives alone (scandalous!) I do wish that people dressed better though! PS there are not a lot of Ladies anymore, gentelman either! sad

They want a women that stays loyal yet one that is good in bed. Of co use an old fashioned women wouldn't go down on a guy, but do you think they really want that? It irritates me because guys are such jerks. Just think, they don't want to work these days yet expect you to and take care of the house and kids. Do you have any idea how many guys barely pay child support and up and leave the women? They want a modern woman when it comes to working and being a homemaker, but when it comes to sexual behavior they want a loyal naive women. They want their cake and eat it too.

not sure. I guess I like alittle of both. I don't want a girl who is a total prude, but I also don't want one who has been having sex with every guy she has been om more than 3 dates with. I guess if a classy girl would be old fashioned I would have to vote for that, but I think more of a combo maybe 60%40%

It makes no difference if she has old fashioned morals or modern. Every man is different when it comes to that. But I will tell you this. A man wants to be loved. Loved truly, with the woman's whole heart just as the woman does of the man. To feel his heart is safe in her care. To believe they are one. To have her believe in him, and he must believe in her. This is not a one sided what a man needs of a woman statement. The man must cherish her heart too. He must keep her heart safe. He must earn and keep her trust and belief in him. He must respect her and protect her. Stand up for her. Listen to her, not just hear her words, but listen.

Most men like their women to be a percentage of their mothers, good cooking, always looked after, clean washing, going to work on time... that sought of things, so definately old fashioned!

A little of both I guess. I've never been attracted to the "ultra-feminist" (those that snap your head off for opening the door for them) or those who swear like a trooper. At the same time one thing I always find incredibly attractive is a woman who has a strong sense of self - who knows what she wants out of life. I can't STAND those whiny little women who either can't make a decision by themselves or who constantly need their self-esteem propped up...makes the skin crawl
