I've always wanted to try it but is it even legal to drink in the U.S.?

Is it illegal to buy it online? Will they ship to U.S.?

Absinthe made with regular Wormwood is obviously no longer available in the US but, A faux-absinthe liquor called Absente, made with southern wormwood (Artemisia abrotanum) instead of regular wormwood (Artemisia absinthium), is sold legally in the United States and does not contain thujone.

Switzerland! It's legal again after being banned for a hundred years! Evidently some idiot back then killed his whole family after drinking a whole bottle and they outlawed it. Sounds like you have a Nevada connection in the U.S. though.

I like it, it tastes a bit like Ouzo to me

It is illegal in the united states. I had it in spain and it is overrated. Its thick and gooey and sweet and it messes with your eyes. absynthe addicts used go blind. its not a hallucagenic like mushrooms or anything. a friend of mine spent some time in the bar bathroom throwing it up after 3 drinks. i could barely get down 2 because it tastes awful.

You can get Pernod Absinthe in Canada. I work in the industry and we are going to use it for a function.
You could try europe or somewhere else.....

wine,liquor,liquer,beer store.. absinthe is super cool.. you can get alcohol poisoning!! hahahah!

you can get it imported in. its illegal in the US so you have to get it from another country.

mexico and europe especially eastern europe... it is illegal in the US so you can't get it here.
