So he cant fix the computer if it broke, the game computer died how can i find out whats wrong, it won't start up, it freezes at the startup page (where the progress bar is). I have looked at regi-fix with no problems it was fine, I have de-fragged every drive except for 1 because it doesnt have enough free space.
So if anyone has any suggestions as to how to fix it feel free to leave an answer for me, all answers will be gratefully excepted.

On the first screen when booting, press del. The bios settings should come up next. Search for the booting sequence and put cdrom first. save. You should have an installation disk of your OS. insert it on your cdrom drive. restart your computer. wait until the text "BOOT FROM ATAPI CDROM" and "Press any key to boot from CD". if that shows up, press any key. Follow the instructions on the setup. Reformat your 1st partition (c:).

sorry i do not have the answer for your question. If you have a computer with so much problems that it has been fixed frecuently, and its old I would suggest that u better buy a new computer. somethimes is cheaper to buy one than to pay for so many reapirs, not that u had paid for them since ur father fixted but i velive u will be more satified.

when you first turn on the computer when you turn it on from twhen you hit the power press F8 and hold it down till you see a sfe mode menu pop up then at that time run defrag and scandisk if you got it and do other scans if you got any others and then reboot goto start then turn off computer a different menu will pop up and then you just pick on restart and see if that works for you
