There are ***20+*** breeds in the TERRIER GROUP!!!(Shame on me for not remembering the EXACT #...25? 27?). Go to the AKC site & READ the BREED STANDARDS!!!!
I've been doing Norwich since '71. The Border Terrier (NOT collie-YUCK!) is my second choice.
Note to the nitwits above: Yorkies & Bostons are ***NOT*** TERRIERS!!!! sheeeeeeeeeeesh, wise up!

What I like, you may not. Look up the American Kennel Club, or whatever country you're from. I love Bull Terriers but lots of people think they're ugly. You'll know your dog when you see it.

This is all the dogs in the Terrier group. If you want a smaller dog, Border Terriers are very cute and sweet. If you want larger, Staffies are larger and very cute.

It is personal choice, and what it is in a terrier that interests you so that would help in that decision. I have a Lakeland Terrier and he is great! He is high energy, full of life, completely devoted, very intelligent, and I think handsome! It is just personal choice though take your time! Good luck!

I would say a Rat terrier. Great dog. I love mine to death. Very smart. I taught him about 4 tricks in about 2 weeks.

go with a boston terrier. it looks tough although small. and it doesnt have long hair so in a way it's more of a manly dog. i highly doubt you want to have a dog that's all prettied up with bows while you walk him or her. so go with a boston terrier they are really nice looking and looks like a small mini boxer.
