hi, i'm unsure if its Baptists. some Pentacostals i know shun it. in spite of the indisputable fact that for people who condemn it: a million) undesirable interpretations. Wine isn't prohibited interior the Bible; in basic terms overindulgence in it like wealthy ingredients besides. 2) some preacher interior the nineteenth century pronounced the wine replaced into incredibly ungerminated grape juice. BS: a) Veritas in vino est - previous Roman proverb which says there is actuality in wine b) do no longer bask in too a lot wine lest you experience such as you're on the mast of a deliver in a stormy sea and awaken day after immediately feeling you have been bitten by capacity of a poison serpent - e book of Proverbs. c) If as quickly as saved continuously saved, then what the hell does or no longer it incredibly is counted in case you drink wine, sheep shag or sell drugs besides? you're certain of heaven. I ought to trust the large seventeenth century Catholic clergyman and statesman, Cardinal Richelieu: " If God did no longer want guy to get exhilaration from wine then why did he make it so sturdy? For the same reason a lot of christians drink alcohol. You see, most people drank alcohol and still drink it in their lives, religious beliefs are irelevant from that point of view. Christians are just as christian drunk like atheists remain atheists while drunk. Try thinking smart, atheism means the absence in the belief of gods, not the stubbornes of not believing in gods. The belief in the existence of god is not inborn, it is a behavior that is learned.

As far as I know people both religious and none religious people drink, drink a bit or don't drink at all. I don't think they're religion or none religion has much to do with it, apart from the religions that say don't drink. Ur stereotyping atheists a bit.

A lot of people drink alcohol. I have never seen religion play a role in whether or not a group drinks. You may have a few people that choose to drink/not drink, but it's never an entire religion.
Actually, I think Catholics drink the most, but that's because most of us are Irish or German.

A lot of Catholics drink a lot of alcohol as well. The two issues aren't dependent upon each other. It's like asking why a lot of white people watch game shows. The two have nothing to do with each other.

It's because Vodka is the drink of Atheists! Stalin (a God Hater), Lennin (a God Hater), Kruschev (A God HAter), Brezenevh (A God Hater).
It makes it easier for Atheists to send out their KGB to find all those planning Easter Celbrations so they can put them into re-education camps (gulags).
This IS the Atheist way.
Religion the opiate of the people -- Karl Marx (who probably enjoyed a good beer, nice German Atheist he was!)

I don't drink anymore - I used to drink a lot, but I stopped, because I had a problem. And I did it without AA or God.

You make the assumption that atheists value reason. While I personally highly value reason (I'm agnostic, though, not atheist), I'm sure there are plenty of atheists who just don't give a damn about it.
