It is possible, but Anderson Silva is a formidable opponent, and he does well in the standing game department, and he's equally comfortable in the ground game so he's gonna be a tough opponent to take the title away from.
So Ace is gonna have to do some serious training especially in his standing game to handle his business and get back in top shape to take on Silva again to win the title

Honestly... Who really cares. I am interested in seeing fresh faces all day long and I dont have a problem with Rich Franklin being an undercard fighter. But I do think its possible for him to at least get another title shot. Lets face it though, the UFC divisions dont exactly have alot of depth to them, so Franklin might even get an immediate rematch for the title and end up winning it. Its hard to say exactly. Just look at how quick Silva won the championship. Two fights in the UFC? Wow...
Owning a title in the UFC isnt such a great task, and Im sure Rich Franklin has the ability to do it again. The UFC guys a OK, and Im not a Pride junky... But I watched only a COUPLE Pride events and the fighters I've seen were much more highly skilled than 95% of the UFC fighters I've seen...
I give credit to Chuck Liddel, and Andre Orlovski who are two highly skilled fighters. But alot of those kids man, they are just up and coming average athletes at best. Man would I love to see Orlovski jump to 205 and take on Chuck Liddel, or vice versa... man.. Wow

Perhaps... he'll definitely get another shot if he wants one. If he fights Silva again he's going to have to win on the ground or do a better job of avoiding the clinch. I like Franklin, but he was overmatched against Silva.

Yeah...if he learns how to either 1) Defend against the Muay Thai clinch, i.e. counter - knee or 2) Take the fight to the ground next time he's getting owned while standing up.

I think Rich Franlin lost the belt because he was scared
if he wants to win it back he has to find his balls
he was obvoiusly unsure of himself
but good luck to him
