Check the yellow pages or a local business directory for your area. We have a business here that has a putt putt course, go carts, and batting cages outside and they have a huge room filled with the inflatables like a giant double slide, bounce house, and obstacle course. I rented it one year for my son's party and it was a blast. They have a separate party room for cake and gifts. It was also neat because our guests had the option to use the outdoor activities at a bit of a discount. These type businesses are springing up so there may be something similar in your area. If that isn't an option a child friendly restaurant will usually work with you to make a nice party.... Chick-Fil-A, McDonald's, Chuck E Cheese, etc.

Go to a indoor playground where they have the ball pits and climbing sections and games. Give a few tokens to the older guests in case they would like to play the arcade games. My grandkids and tons of cousins of all ages loved the ones we have had there. The kids won't eat much because they are too busy having fun! You don't have to plan games either. Just have a goodie bag at the end.Serve cookies and punch and save the cake for the family celebration. Kids that small can eat cookies easier and neater anyway. Best wishes!.

When my eldest son turned three (his birthday is in Feb.) we had a bowling party. We went to our local bowling ally (it was just family, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, etc.), they had pizza, pop, and cake that was part of the party package. Our local bowling ally also has bumpers on the lanes so even the young kids could get strikes and spares. You want to be careful about how many young kids and inexperienced bowlers you invite though, they can take a LONG time and usually with a party package you get like two hours or so for the party, but they have a great time.

I have two kids, both of their birthdays are in December. We always go to a kid-friendly place like Chuck E Cheese's or an indoor playplace. Reserve in advance because these places book up early in cold weather. And don't go for the birthday party packages -- they are often pricey. Just reserve enough tables and order your own food and drinks when you get there. Bring your own cake, too. Happy Birthday!

If your little one like swimming, you could rent a swimming pool to have their party. Sometimes hotels or YMCA's rent out their pools and an area to have a party. I would probably be a nice break from the cold weather.

How about a McDonald's with an indoor playground? That way YOU dont' have the clean up and the kids can play, and eat junk food and have a good time.

You can go to a resturant. I've done that before when my party's been rained out.
