like to get some kind of help paying for medications. does anybody know of how to get informed more on this
issue?
any personal experience? please and thank you! :)

only if the parent becomes a dependant of the person in the military. example if my mom became disabled or unemployed and i had to take care of them, then they could become my dependant.

The parents should have their own medical coverage. Having said that and having been in the military, the only way for the parents of anyone in the military to get free medical help is for the military person to claim them as a dependent.

No, there is no such program under Army regulations. I did ten years active duty with the Army, my oldest daughter and youngest son are both in the Army at this moment. Veterans, but not their parents, can recieve health care through the Department of Veterans Affairs at their local Veterans Administration hospital. Of course, if the parent is also a vet, then the parent can get his or her care through the VA too.

adding secondary dependents(Parents, for instance) is EXTREMELY difficult to do. The Service member must prove that they provide all living expenses and the individuals have no income at all.

no there is no program for parents of people in the military.
The soldier, his wife and his children can be covered.
