First:
Vented simply means the air is actually exhausted to the outside, usually through the ceiling, but sometimes through the wall.
Nonvented means the air is recirculated back into the kitchen, but at least going through a filter first.
Convertible means it is set up to be nonvented, but has a louver that can be turned up (for ceiling venting) or to the back (for wall venting).
Second:
There are more brands of range hoods than you can shake a stick at. As for one being good, stick with the name brands.
The price range varies from $125 (do NOT get close to one that cheap) to $2000 (do NOT get close to one that expensive). Most in the $300 to $450 range will do everything you'd want, plus more. However, the customers with the greatest satisfaction are those who had the range hood installed properly.

That last answer was exactly right. also known as (Direct Vent) Vented into to kitchen through vents in the front of the unit or (Indirect) Vented through the top of the Unit which is connected to ducting going to the Outside. (Most are already set up to do either one It's just a matter of flipping a piece around )
(Brands listed are all pretty good ,it just depends your needs and your pocket book (Listed for the most part as $-$$$)

Nu-tone
Hotpoint
Broan
GE
GE Profile™ Designer Hoods
Maytag®
Jenn-Air®
Range-master

well i think that the vented ones mean that they vent to the outside of the house, nonvented means that they just filter the air and blow it back into the room. i'm not sure what the convertible ones are but i would assume that it means that you can install them as one or the other, or they can do both.

be careful of any adhesive removers. in case you flow that path ensure you examine it carefully and see regardless of if that's paint/sparkling coat risk-free. or you will probable injury your paint. At our physique save we use WD-40 on the adhesive that isn't come off. we can spray some on the adhesive and enable sit down for approx 10min. Then we take a hair dryer or a heating gun and put in on low. don't get your paint soo warm you cant touch it including your finger. yet slowly warmth up the adhesive and rub it including your finger or a cotton towel. Even merely the warmth will enable it to come again off after making use of somewhat elbow artwork to it. The wd-40 will help injury down the adhesive without detrimental your paint or scratching it. It make an effort despite the fact that it does come off. The longer it extremely is been on your vehicle, the greater time it extremely is going to take.
