It's probably just puberty.

...or a tapeworm.

Yes this is normal given that it could be your body growing. Depending on your age, weight, and how active you are, sometimes your metabolism will change and increase your appetite. Another way to test your appetite is to include more fatty foods in your diet. I know this sounds crazy but studies have shown that eating fatty foods make you feel full so if you leave the skin on baked chicken or if you mom doesn't trim as much fat from the roast/stace every now and then, it should help to fill you up. But be advised: Don't increase your fat intake too much because that's really unhealthy but I hope that this helps you!

Depends on how much exercise you are getting and how fast your body is using up the carbohydrates and calories. If your getting adequate exercise then your depleting all of your energy sources in your body causing you to eat more. Puberty can have a factor in this due to physiological changes that are happening. Usually when your body tells you need something, you should listen to it.

Your mom is right, it is normal, you are growing and your body
needs food, lots of it. Maybe you need some more fruit or veggies in your diet.
I don't know if puberty has anything to do with it though. It's
a thought.

Growth spurts can make it seem impossible to fill you up! Keep eating healthy...stay away from junk foods....and wait 10 minutes before you take another helping! Good luck!
