If your baby can stand (holding something for balance) and can walk while holding your hands I wouldn't worry. It is probably more of a fear or a lack of desire than anything more serious.
My cousin was a late walker and she's just fine (I think 18months). And anothe cousin was terrified of walking alone for a long time, he would do it if you let go and he didn't notice, but when he noticed he would freak out.
Ask your doc at the next appointment if you are concerned, but don't freak out unless your heart is telling you to be concerned

My 15 mo old isn't walking yet either so I know how you feel. Even though my son was 8 weeks premature, the pediatrician thinks he should be. I honestly believe that every baby is different and will do some things early and some things late. My son's father didn't start walking until he was 16 mo. If you are really worried, find out if your state or county has a program called Early Intervention. Your pediatricain should have contact numbers for them. They will access your child and determine if they need help or not. Best of luck.

If your not taking your child in to see a doctor for Wellbaby Check-ups on a regular basis, (He would know all of the test to find any problem), Then "YES,YES" you should be very affraid!
You say "your child isnt overweight" "he's thirty pounds" "He's as big as a two year old"!
Are those your words or the words of a qualified doctor?

It is a little concerning.
Are you working with him and holding his hands and having him walk that way???
If not, I would suggest you do that at least twice a day if not more.
My son starting walking at 13 months and he was behind. The reason he started walking was because I started babysitting a little boy that was 4 months older than him and he watched the little boy and started. It was like he was doing it for months the way he just up and started walking.
Is your son around any kids to watch them and mimic them?
You might consider taking him around other kids more.
I would ask your doctor about it and see if he is concerned at all.
If he isn't concerned then don't worry about it but start to really work with him.
Good luck.

You need to take care of this situation fast before it escalates. By that I mean, grab a hold of him before he is a 100 pounds and onle 5 years old. Take a good hard look at what are you feeding him and how often. He should definitely be walking by now. Talk to your nutritionist about structuring a well balance diet, which includes some fun family exercise. This means his selfesteem wont be damaged, and you'll have fun along the way.

My daughter didn't walk till 18 1/2 months. If the doctor isn't worried, you shouldn't be either.

My son didn't start walking until he was 13 months. He's now 8 and is developmentally fine. I would talk to your pediatrician though because they can tell by examining your child if there are any problems related to his/her delay.

No, not yet. It's probably just that they can get along alot easier and quicker crawling. If you're really concerned, talk to the dr.

NO, not at all. Babies do what they want to do, and it's like a light switch because one day they get up and they're gone! I mean you can let him grab a hold to the furniture and walk because they have to get used to it, because it's scary for the first time, so they need to be comfortable... you can't force him so just let him go at his own pace. they have pleanty of time to grow up and you know he'll have to walk eventually so just fall back and let him go in the walker and just gradually let him do some steps, but he'll take off if he's ready. That's how my lil' girl did.. She was like going on 14 months, and she was makin a few steps but she would just freeze and fall on her butt, and like one day, my friend was over and she's in love with him, and she just started taking off towards him! so that might help getting someone the baby really likes and see if they'll go to them.. babies are silly like that, because as much as i tried, he held out his hand one time and she went for it!!
