OK! First off I want to thank you for coming and trying to help me out. ^^ I have an interesting story, I was always chubby when I was younger. When I was 15years old I was 220, by the time I was 16 I went down to 180, then I met my fiance and in just over 4 years I shot up to 275.25 pounds (I just weighed myself 10 minutes ago).

I ONLY DRINK WATER AND TEA WITH SPLENDA SUGAR IN IT (my family is prone to diabetes) I work about 50 hours a week, and I need to get back into shape, BUT I do not know how to get back into the grove of working out. I used to train as a mixed martial arts competitor, so I have a history of working out/training for up to 8 hours a day. Unfortunately I have no one to work out with me at this point, and one of the biggest reasons for me wanting to get back into shape is that my sex drive has gone down immensely due to my physical appearance. My fiance stays fit and she does NOTHING, I hate her. I would appreciate anyones help, even more YOUR SUPPORT.

Hi, what kind of foods do you eat on an ordinary day, start a food journal, write down what you eat, you can buy or look online for a calorie counter, log how many calories you consume and then slowly find healthier foods to replace the high ones. When you say working out, what kind of work out? You need something where you are moving alot, how about dance, aerobics, yoga, isometric stretches and walking? Do one kind each weekday so you don't get bored. One thing though, if your calorie count is low and you're packing on weight, have your thyroid tested, underactive thyroid helps put on weight.

For me, I wake up, have coffee or tea no sugar, have fruit for breakfast with 2 slices of toast, lunch is water and chicken noodle soup and fruit on the side, dinner is a sensible meal like chicken, potato, veggie, salad, then for a snack later I have a blueberry muffin, or corn chips, a little treat. What I eat isn't alot of calories and I've been losing weight pretty deciently. I snack on carrots, celery and peppers during the day too. On weekends, I treat myself to 1 meal of junk like 2 slices of pizza or something.

For workout, I do isometric stretches, yoga but nothing hard in the yoga routine, aerobics, and dance.

Cut out sugar especially even the splenda adds calories. You wanna drink alot of water, fruit juices, eat lots of veggies and fruits, and make sure you get 8 hours sleep. Sleep refreshes the body and believe it or not they have found that people who sleep more lose weight and are at more normal weights.

Another option, one which worked great for me, is the Atkins Diet.

Do not try the diet without completely reading and understanding the 1992 book. (The 2002 is weird, and I must wonder if it was changed after Atkins died.)

The Atkins diet is often mis-reported as a low carb diet. That is only part of it, and the reason many have problems with it. They hear it's low carb, so without reading the book, they cut way back on carbs.

The Atkins Diet is two things. One is cutting back on carbs in a very controlled manner, with several phases that are supposed to be followed.

The second is to take the supplements you need, including plenty of fiber so you don't get impacted or hemorrhoids.

The big benefit of the Atkins diet is YOU NEED NOT EVER BE HUNGRY! That is the killer that stops most diets from working.

I am down from 220 to around 180, and at age 64 am back to doing heavy labor here in rural Mexico. I feel great; last time I checked my bp was 105/66. I feel great, and I think I look great -as great as I possibly can...

You got my support and my prayers ... Go the natural and healthy way ... I lost 21 pounds (30 more to go) and 2 1/2 inches in my waist in 30 days on a natural and healthy "No Diet Weight Loss Plan" that is "SAFE" for diabetics and all of this was without any exercise. I say no diet because you do not skip meals, eat special foods, you just eat normal foods. I also added a healthy energy drink in my life that only cost $1.oo per serving. I have been told that you are not suppose to send web links through this service. E-mail or IM me through my profile and I'll send you the web link that changed my health dramatically ... Pastor J

I understand how you could "hate her" I am the same way with my hub he could eat a tub of ice cream and still lose 5lbs! lol

Anyway the most important thing to do is eat 3 meals a day. Your portion should not be bigger than your fist. Don't eat after 7pm. And if you are really serious about losing the weight start with walking 20-30 mins a day and work your way up. I have tried all the low carb, low fat, low taste diets and none of them really work it all comes back to all things in moderation and exercise. And a here are some tricks that work for me #1 I bought smaller dinner plates #2 Once you start to exercise and eat smarter give yourself at least 2 weeks before you weigh yourself you didn't gain the weight in a day you aren't going to lose it in a day! And my golden rule DON'T EAT OUT OF A BAG!!!

you should start with regulating your diet according to the fact that you are prone to getting diabetes. And most important is cardio work out like 30 minutes 5 days a week. Start walking 30 min a day because the cardio will help more than weight lifting especially starting a habit that you can maintain, this type of exercise is also very beneficial for diabetics. you should also consult a dr because it sounds like you are wanting to lose quite a bit of weight and there are health risks if you do that too quick. good luck

First off, don't hate your woman. After, she's the one that helps get you in the mood for...well, you know - sex. Secondly, if you know how to work out based on prior experience, then you are half way there. It sounds to me that you lack self-discipline. I know it's hard, but if you are motivated enough, you should be able to work out right away. You don't have a workout buddy? No problem. Just go to your local gym and start working out. Start networking with people there if you can. Make friends, because chances are they would be willing to work out with you. After all, if you were skinny before, you should think you can be again! Like I said, boost your self discipline. Use the lack of sex drive motivate you to get in shape. That should totally work - especially if your fiance is hot! Good luck!

Lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks??

There are some websites on the Internet, which promise you that you are going to lose 10 pounds in every 2 weeks. If you are good in math you will find that keeping these stats in mind, 260 pounds in a year. Losing 260 pounds is the figure, which is unbelievable and unexpected.

This kind of claims are planned just to cause clients to make impulsive decisions. When you gain weight, did you gained around 50 minds in two months? Certainly not. We gain weight in weight in small parts, which add up to our weight. This keeps on increasing with time.

I think you get what I mean to say. We normally gain weight in grams like 65 gram per week. With this stat you are going to gain around 7 pounds at the end of year.

This weight is so slow that you cannot measure it weekly. But in fur years you are going to gain around 28 pounds.

So how can you expect this weight to go in few days? You are going to lose the way you have gained it. So it will take time to lose weight. So you have to start losing weight systematically. You can lose weight by developing the good eating habits in you and nutritious foods.

The very best way to accomplish this is:1.Eat measuring by carbohydrates from fat(120 Carbs daily for me)
2.Eat 5 - 6 very small meals daily.
3.Go vegetarian for a 6 week period.
4.burn more calories than you consume.
5.Sweat as much as possible, but replace it with lots of water.

well, the first thing is that you should start off in moderation and you should work out everyday for around an hour instead of doing big chunks of time. you should eat lots of vegetables and fruit and try and stay off carbs. you could also not eat after around six thirty so that your body has time to burn it off. try this for a few weeks and if this doesnt start to work im sorry.
