As far as I know Picasso left no unfinished paintings. By the time of his death and in the months leading up to his death he had pretty much stopped painting. He was still doing drawings up until a year before his death. The famous man's hand handing flowers to a woman's hand comes from this period.

Picasso did his last known painting in 1970 (the year of his last exhibit) and his last known drawing in 1972. He died in 1973 at the age of 91.

As much as I believe Picasso was an over-rated artist I will give him his due. he was probably the most prolific artist of all time and he was always working. The story goes; on Picasso's deathbed his doctor showed him an X-ray to explain what was wrong with him and the great man took the X-ray and started putting marks on it and picking out interesting shapes and compositions with a marker. Then he died. That would have been his last work of art.
