If you believe in evolution & geological history then this is a false assumption. Supervolcanos have gone off that increased ocean temperatures by 10 degrees, compared to our measly 2, rained sulfuric acid down, and blocked out so much sunlight that an ice age was precipitated. We are nowhere near that, and that only occurred around 70,000 BC. Humanity & everything around now lived through that.
If you believe in geological history then the north pole has been stably melted in the recent past. How do you explain how the oil got under the north shore of alaska if it didnt come from hugely abundant living beings that arent sustainable in tundra. Its fine that the north pole is melting, doesnt kill us at all.
The sun has 5 billion more years of life, and it is the energy source for the planet.
Frankly I cant see how you can say "dying". Either you are religious, and not scientific in which case science cant speak to you, or your are scientific and it can. If you are scientific, then why dont you believe what paleontology and geology people tell you? If you arent then asking in this forum isnt going to help you.
