no it wont ruin the chili but it sure will ruin your microwave though one time i forgot and put a loaf of bread in the microway with the twist tie still on it,, in just a few sec, i heard this load pop sound and the twist tie had shattered the whole glass part of my microwave. didnt have the money to get another one at that time so i had to use it with the glass broke and im glad i dont have any thing wrong with me for doing that.. Im glad you are ok and please remember not to put anything metal like that in the microwave anymore

nope.
but if the spoon is silver or titanium and the microwaves have penetrated the metal and transferred it to the chili you may have the threat of adopting super natural powers..
but most likely not.. that only happens in comic books and movies.

It won't ruin your chili but it will short out your microwave and ruin it. Never put anything metal in oven, not even aluminum foil.

WELL I WOULDNT EAT IT , MY COUSIN DID THAT WITH ICE CREAM IN A BOWL WITH A SPOON IN THE BOWL OF IC CREAM IN THE FREEZER
