Alright so I've been really sick lately. Two weeks ago I had a sore throat, fever, headaches. It's been two weeks and I still have a sore throat with white spots and a gross phlegmy cough. Anyone have any idea what it could be? I'd tell you I'm also exhausted, but I always am so that's really no different. I know I should go to the doctors so please don't just tell me to do that. I'm asking what you think otherwise... I don't have time to go to the doctors right now...
Thanks

It sounds like strep throat. You need to go to the doctor because it can cause heart problems.

Yes, you have a throat infection, most doctors would want to culture you for strep, would give you an antibiotic, which you can't get OTC. If going to the doctor is not an option, you might want to gargle with hydrogen peroxide, take a decongestant and anti-histamine. Try to breathe some steam to break up some of the congestion in your chest. If you have nasal congestion, use Afrin. These can help, but if the symptoms persist, you should make some time to see a doc, as bad infections left untreated can become serious. Consider that you might even have mono, which doesn't have a "cure," but does need to be addressed by a doctor. Feel better!

Sound like your SICK!!!! Go to the doctor! LOL.........Could be strep or there is another throat infection that is horrendous this year, I ended up in the ER with it and 3 other people were in there with it too. Very contagious. My white spot turned into ulcers all over my throat, I had it for while, took meds to get rid of it. Sorry to burst your bubble but you need to make time to see the doc.

Ever hear of strep-throat? Have you had your tonsils taken out?
You'd better make some time to go see that doctor or your going to end up spending your time in a hospital bed whether you like it or not.
