When 9/11 happened, everyone was saying God Bless America, and now they want to take the "under god" out of the pledge. Goodness! Has everyone forgotten about what good God has done the United States! And I'm speaking in general to. A whole lot of people are complacent and don't even think about God until they lose everything through something like Katrina, or the tsunami. People simply don't need a truth when they have the whole world under them huh? I really find it sad that it takes a catastrophe to turn people to God or make them contemplate about it more. If you try to tell a rich atheist who lives in a mansion about Jesus, it can be the hardest thing in the world. Take the same message to a hobo who doesn't even have a home, and they accept the truth much more easily.

Yes and that really bothers me as well. People need to remember to thank God for the good times in their lives. I don't like how people are nowadays with the whole "I've got it from here" attitude once everything seems to be in order in their lives again. God is not a credit card! He is a friend as well as a comforter.

Not so, some people just love God, and want to be his friend
.
Some of us love him no matter what,

and then when some thing

does happened we have someone to pull us out,

and make us whole again.

If a mans ways or woman's ways please the Lord

He will make his enemies at peace with him

Yes you are right some people just want to debate.

But when they see the light they will come to it

Be at peace, all things work together to them that love the Lord

And are called to his purpose.

Keep on witnessing

Keep on loving

How did God sense as he surveyed the depravity and the violence on earth? “Jehovah felt regrets that he had made adult males interior the earth,” says the Bible, “and he felt injury at his heart.” (Genesis 6:5, 6, eleven, 12) God felt regrets in that the [habit of people had replace into so evil] that he had a transformation of attitude as regards the depraved pre-Flood era. using fact of his displeasure over their wickedness, God grew to become from the attitude of the writer of people to that of a destroyer of them. yet, “he became merciful; he might hide the errors and not convey wreck. and a super form of circumstances he made his anger turn back, and he does no longer rouse up all his rage.” (Psalm seventy 8:38-40-one) even however the rebellious Israelites rightly suffered the ends up of their very own sinfulness, the Bible tells us that “for the time of all their misery it became distressing to [God].”—Isaiah sixty 3:9.

yeah, i so agree with you on this. it's really sad though because generally, people "forget" GOD when their lives are well in order. but when times are adverse, then you'll see them rushing to their respective places of worship and not only do they make all these crazy demands from GOD to put things back in place again, they often blame Him for the trials they go through. and the sad part, they fail to see that GOD is always there, 24/7, in good times and in bad... it's only people who "pencil Him in" in their lives, in their own terms, by their own moods :( GOD is awesome! i'm glad you realize that.

Ah! the political correctness and kowtowing to other religions has crept into the good old US of A.
Yes you are right I even know of unbelievers praying or saying something to god, me included and I'm an agnostic.
Isn't it amazing when you open doors to people from other countries, they then want to change yours to suit where they came from, instead of returning to theirs or a Country that espouses their values and beliefs.

its a shame how true that is. people feel like they dont need a God when they have a job, a loving family, 3 cars, a big house, w/e, when in fact they have these things because of God's infinate mercy and love for us. im so thankful that he hasnt destroyed us already for rejecting him so many times!

Not all. people who are so busy with their own thing always tend to forget God. Specially when everything is a ok. That should not be the case, we should always remember Him come rain pr shine.

Sometimes I think God allows bad things to happpen to us. We as parents watch our children go through hard times, it hurts us to watch, but sometimes its needed.God deals with us in the same way I think. When bad things happen we turn to God.
