Im debating whether or not to cut it. Right now I have it short on the sides and back (#1) and I style the top with gel and it has the messy look.
Or I was thinking of cutting the top with a #3 and fading the sides and back.
What do you think?

I say down with the fade.
Right now, the messy thing is still cool... so, go for that. Also, keep it spicy, every so often, go without gel, for the really messy look.

girls really dig the long messy look.maybe get a trim, but you can forget about the fade. i like guys with a bit of a wild side. keep it up boy!

How bout letting it grow a bit? I have seen some sexy looks with longer hair now. It's making a big comeback. Not reallly long, but longer than you are describing....about an inch or two longer?
