yeah. Sit ups dont help in losing weight. They only work on your abs muscles.
For losing weight, do cardiovascular exercises like jogging, swimming, cycling etc. And they must be carried out for more than 20 mins in order to burn the fat. If you do less cardio for a short time only, you only utilise the sugar (glucose) in your body, and does not burn the fat.
you can try weight training too. Its more effective in burning fat / losing weight when you build up and tone more muscles in your body, as muscles metabolises glucose/fat faster. So it's a better solution as you can even burn more sugar / fat in your body when you are not exercising.

Sit ups/crunches don't make you lose weight, they tone stomach muscles. The only way to lose weight is through either intense walking or skipping. Water does help though, combined with fruit and vegetables. Walking burns fat, running burns sugar, skipping works every part of the body for even weight loss. Good luck!

About 15 minutes a day - after one year you will lose 10lbs.
So If you do 30 minutes a day figure you'll lose about 10lbs in 6 months. I say you need to do atleast 50 - 3 times a day. So about 150 a day is the minimum.

You want to loose weight, 10 pounds? You have to eat less. If you are on a diet, drink as much water as you can, more than eight glasses. One pound is 3500 calories. If your body temperature drops below normal...stop the diet.
If you want to loose the pound in a month... Eat one hundred calories less per day... a slice of bread...
If you eat to loose the pound in a week, you have to give up 500 calories per day.
One doughnut is 250 calories... to burn that off you need to run two miles. It is easier to not eat the doughnut.
Exercise is always good.

Sit ups and the like don't make you lose weight- they make you tone muscle. To lose weight, you need to do cardio! Go for a jog, jump on a trampoline, take up kick-boxing. Get your heart moving!
