Your parents recognized that he was an *** before you did. I don't think they'll be upset to find out that you've finally realized that. You might get an "I told you so" from them, but they'll definitely be on your side in this. You may need their help because it sounds like your ex is a control freak, stalker type and you may need protection from him.
Definitely don't deal with the ex-boyfriend directly. He stole your car. Tell your parents and call the cops.

So....what....you're gonna let him ride off with your car???
Don't you think mom and dad are gonna notice YOUR CAR IS GONE!?!?!?!?!??!?!
Call the police......tell your folks he's psycho and stole your ride, your biggest problem right now is not the fact that your parents didn't want you seeing him in the first place>>>although maybe now you see that SOMETIMES parents know what the hell they're talking about?? Obviously they had a reason for not wanting you with him....

Get back with him. As soon as you get the car back report him to the police. That's what i would do. But the practical thing to do is tell your parents about it. The best thing that's gonna happen is that you'll have your ex off your back and your parents will have those grim 'i told you so looks' for a week. The worst is that you'll get a good scolding. Weigh the options.

Tell him if he doesn't return the car, you will call the cops on him and charge him for stealing your vehicle. If that doesn't work and does not return your car...well...you will not have other choice that tell your parents. Good Luck!!
**By the way, parents have this six sense, we can tell when someone hasn't good intentions with our kids, better listen the next time or at least be more careful**

Tell him that you're going to report the car theft -- yes, it's grand theft auto, and a felony -- unless you get the car back. And if he doesn't give it back then call the police. This guy needs to get a message about his controlling behavior.
(And your parents were right. Next time give their opinions a little more thought!)

Tell your parents and call the cops or the other way around, just make sure you report him. Tell the police that he said he would give it back unless you took him back.
Don't let him bully you!

What a psycho. Tell him how it is - you're not getting back with him but you want your car back. If he doesn't bring it back, tell your parents and the police. Don't worry about your parents being angry or anything - they'll be proud of you for standing up for yourself and for getting rid of him!

the only way to get it back is to tell your parents and then call and report it stolen. Next time listen to your parents. They were obviously right about this guy.
