Tring to get my 1999 Jetta to pass inspection. Aftermarket radio has the ODB unable to read Any suggestions?

The ODB wiring is is the same wiring harness as the radio (only VW does this) I inherited it with the aftermarket radio. I have been told that disconnecting the radio may allow reading of ODB sensor. The worst part is, it will pass a dynamic test but the state of Illinois won't do it if the car has a ODB reader. Any one have a suggestion?

well disconnect the radio, try taking the fuse out or license it in missouri
