Dump him. They always say that when they're locked up. They don't want you to go out and meet somebody new. It is a feeling of not being so alone in their misery that they drag you along with them. Dump him.

Okay your right, he is in jail and he is feeling lonley. By him saying that he wants to make it work between you too, is his waying for saying that he needs someone to talk to. My aunt was in this same situation, she wrote this guy in Jail, sent him money and she fell in love, she wanted to be with him and he wanted to be with her, or so he said. and when he finally got out, NOTHING he totally forgot about her. He USED her while he was in jail. You have to live your life, your not together with him, you were broken up before he went in jail. There is no point in waiting while he is in jail. Live your life and have fun. Don't even think about him or talking with him, until he is out of jail and then you can see how it goes. I know you may have feelings because of the breakup but that is normal. You will be fine. Try to live your life and don't think about your ex.

Actions speak louder than words. Give him some time after getting out & see what type of guy he is going to be after being in jail. My hubby works with people in jail & he says they all change until they get back out around the old gang.

Dear Brei,
Always remember that you cannot base any relationship on changing people. What you see is what you will always get... now and later.
Dig deep into yourself and decide what kind of person, relationship and being do yhou want. With advice from respectable people around you, find out where you may meet such persons or situations; then, go there.
Good luck, may God bless you richly and may you have the life that you deserve.

Honestly sweetheart, I wouldn't wait. Loving him is ok in this case and your heart will get broken and all but it will feel worse if he gets out of jail and blows you off. I wouldn't take the chance. Try to find someone else, you only have one life, you can't live it waiting.

you should tell him wait to you get out and show me that you can really change because i really don't know if you will or if its just the jail talking. tell him he needs to prove it to you first because you don't want to wait up for the call about he is dead or locked up again.if the way he messed you up is he cheated then no don't take him back because once a cheater always a cheater.

Oh come on, Cheese girl, you desrve better than a jail bird.
With a guy like him, you might as well slice yourself, and nibble it on crackers or rolls. Almost every where you look, a girl like you could find some guy whose better for her.

Sounds like a bad situation. I would cut ties with him and spend time on your own or find a different guy.

Get rid of him. Sure he says he loves you and will do right by you when he gets out. That is easy to say when you are in jail.
