There is no life after death, until Jesus comes back on the day of resurrection. You are just in the ground sleeping until that day comes. If you are seeking for the real truth may I suggest the bible. It holds the answers that you are searching for. Good Luck.

1. "Know thou of a truth that the soul, after its separation from the body, will continue to progress until it attaineth the presence of God, in a state and condition which neither the revolution of ages and centuries, nor the changes and chances of this world, can alter. It will endure as long as the Kingdom of God, His sovereignty, His dominion and power will endure. It will manifest the signs of God and His attributes, and will reveal His loving kindness and bounty."

2. "As to the question whether the souls will recognize each other in the spiritual world: this fact is certain; for the Kingdom is the world of vision where all the concealed realities will become disclosed. How much more the well-known souls will become manifest. The mysteries of which man is heedless in this earthly world, those he will discover in the heavenly world, and there will he be informed of the secret of truth; how much more will he recognize or discover persons with whom he hath been associated. Undoubtedly, the holy souls who find a pure eye and are favored with insight will, in the kingdom of lights, be acquainted with all mysteries, and will seek the bounty of witnessing the reality of every great soul. Even they will manifestly behold the Beauty of God in that world."

3. "... a love that one may have entertained for any one will not be forgotten in the world of the Kingdom. Likewise, thou wilt not forget (there) the life that thou hast had in the material world."

1. Death is the end to our physical and temporal existance. Our spirit continues to exist after death.

2. Religion is BASED on the facts as described in part 1 of my answer.

3. Yes, you go to Heaven or Hell.

4. If we stayed here as wandering spirits, it would be pretty dang crowded around here.

5a)Death is not the end, as evidenced by the scientific fact that our origins required a catalyst.
5b)If we exist, then we were created. There is no scientific evidence of any other catalyst for universal origin.
5c)If we were created, then God exists.
5d)If God exists, then his words are true.
5e)If his words are true, then THIS life is the smallest little piece of the big picture.

Jesus Christ spoke about the condition of the dead. He did so with regard to Lazarus, a man whom he knew well and who had died. Jesus told his disciples: “Lazarus our friend has gone to rest.” The disciples thought that Jesus meant that Lazarus was resting in sleep, recovering from an illness. They were wrong. Jesus explained: “Lazarus has died.” (John 11:11-14) Notice that Jesus compared death to rest and sleep. Lazarus was neither in heaven nor in a burning hell. He was not meeting angels or ancestors. Lazarus was not being reborn as another human. He was at rest in death, as though in a deep sleep without dreams. Other scriptures also compare death to sleep. For example, when the disciple Stephen was stoned to death, the Bible says that he “fell asleep.” (Acts 7:60) Similarly, the apostle Paul wrote about some in his day who had “fallen asleep” in death. 1 Corinthians 15:6.

The Bible teaches that the dead “are conscious of nothing at all.” They are not alive and have no conscious existence anywhere. The account of Lazarus confirms this. Upon returning to life, did Lazarus thrill people with descriptions of heaven? Or did he terrify them with horrible tales about a burning hell? No. The Bible contains no such words from Lazarus. During the four days that he was dead, he had been “conscious of nothing at all.” (Ecclesiastes 9:5) Lazarus had simply been sleeping in death. John 11:11.
The account of Lazarus also teaches us that the resurrection is a reality, not a mere myth. Jesus raised Lazarus in front of a crowd of eyewitnesses. Even the religious leaders, who hated Jesus, did not deny this miracle.

Think about this too: If Lazarus had been in heaven for those four days, would he not have said something about it?— And if he had been in heaven, would Jesus have made him come back to earth from that wonderful place? Of course not!

Yet, many people say that we have a soul, and they say that the soul lives on after the body dies. They say that Lazarus’ soul was alive somewhere. But the Bible does not say that. It says that God made the first man Adam “a living soul.” Gen. 2:7, Adam was a soul. The Bible also says that when Adam sinned, he died. He became a “dead soul,” and he returned to the dust from which he had been made. The Bible also says that all Adam’s offspring inherited sin and death too.

The Scriptural teaching of the resurrection, however, is not compatible with the doctrine of the immortality of the soul. If an immortal soul survived death, no one would need to be resurrected, or brought back to life. Indeed, Martha expressed no thought about an immortal soul that was living on elsewhere after death. She did not believe that Lazarus had already gone to some spirit realm to continue his existence. On the contrary, she showed her faith in God’s purpose to reverse the effects of death. She said: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.” (John 11:23, 24) Likewise, Lazarus himself related no experiences of some afterlife. There was nothing to report.

Clearly, according to the Bible, the soul dies and the remedy for death is the resurrection. You enjoy the best sleep ever, until Jesus resurrects you, sometime in the future.

What is "wat"?

Death is SEPARATION.

The FIRST death is separation of the spirit/soul from the body.

The SECOND death is separation, eternally, from God.

>will religion affect our life after death?

Well, seems it will determine our destination.

Well, if there were life after death, then there would be no such thing as death.

But I gotta tell you, when you see what happens to a corpse as it decomposes, it'll make you think twice about saying there is no such thing as death.

Let's see.....maybe we should just call it the World to Come. What do you think?

I believe in a mixture of tiny bits of religions.
I think when you die you will either just stay there forever just staring off into space thinking or you reincarnate as something like a horse or a turtle with your memory completely wiped so you don't waste souls.

After death you can do whatever you want.

i dont think so because we dont know what really happens but i think we all go to one place and thats the way christians believe because religion about a god came from christianity. but buddhists are just worshiping a person rather than a God. they think he is a god but he was just a teacher.

it all depends on what you believe doesnt it?

i believe that those who accept jesus as their savior and god as their lord will go to heaven. i mean, there's got to be something after death...our crummy life on earth can't be it...we've got to have something else to live for, something that we would be willing to give our lives for in order to make them worthwhile!
