Not necessarily... it could be a very small sign, but most likely no. He's just showing that he will want to be there for you or talk to you about some problems you might have and that he cares about you. Don't swing it out and think that one little move makes him want to date you. Just take it slow and sooner or later you'll probably get more signals. Good-Luck!!

Yes. He's finding out so he knows if he can proceed with asking you out without getting shot down. Girls do lie if they don't like the guy. It's the safest option for a guy.

Most likely... i try to comfort certain girls i pay attention to the most... but if it's someone i've known for a LONG time, even if i've never had a full conversation with them... i will say "im sorry about..." to them. it's common respect until the guy tries to take it higher and take you in his arms and cries with you...

I'd put money on it. I'm not sure why else a guy (assuming he's not familiar with you if he has to ask) would ask if you're single or not.

It depends, He could be makin sure wether or not theres a guy who might kick his rear if hes seen talkin w/ his girl. I've seen it happen. Or he could be interested
