please use your religious beliefs to back up your answer--I am a pagan so I don't think it is because they make my little video game dude fly--and flying is what it's all about

I don't mean online games where you'd be cheating other people--just the solo ones

The souls intention,
Is learning to fly.
Suspended animation,
Determined to try.
Can't keep my eyes,
From the circling skies.
Tongue tied and twisted,
Just an Earth bound misfit,
I.

LOL! Do atheists get to answer? Cause I have an opinion on this, being a hardcore gamer myself...
Okay. Here's how I feel about it.
I think that if I'm spending upwards of $50 on a game (Resident Evil 4 in a special box cost me 65 bucks...) then I'm entitled to a little help. For the most part, I can beat them by myself. Once in a while though, like for the Grand Theft Auto games, I use cheat codes to enhance the game experience. Also, since videogames have no impact on me mentally or physically (I'm not gonna go steal cars, etc), and I'm the only one I have to be accountable to, I don't consider it a cheat. I think of it as help. I know, that's just semantics, but that's how I feel. Games have gotten a lot harder since the days of Pong!

If it's online gaming and you are the only one with the cheats yes! If its cheating by yourself no.
I play some games and I DO use the cheat codes so I can have Godmode and fly around with unlimited ammo. I don't consider this cheating at all.

its cheating.. but i think people do it to win... i am open minded, so i think as long as ur not hurting anyone nor killing anyone, its ok.. once someone finds out, then it becomes a relationship problem. and thats when it becomes a bad cheating experience.

Considering how those damn games cheat back on us, I consider it "leveling the field"

well the designers of the game programed it so that you can use those codes so they must be ok with it.
