Did you buy a lottery ticket?
This is definitely a scam. I get about five per day.
Just delete it and ignore it..

IT IS A SCAM!!!! They want you to deposit the money into your account, then wire it to them, along with the remaining money that you owe for "processing fees." I got a similar letter a few months ago from some unknown lottery claiming that I won $65,000. They gave me a batch number and everything. Ask yourself this: have you ever heard of this lottery? Probably not. Second, it is illegal to play a foreign lottery. Do you remember entering this lottery? Probably not. I didn't remember either. IT IS A SCAM!!! Do not fall for it. As proof that this is a scam, call the bank and ask them. IF YOU REALLY WON SOMETHING, YOU WOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING OUT OF YOUR POCKET TO GET IT!!!!!! YOU ARE AUTOMATICALLY ENTITLED TO YOUR WINNINGS!!!!!!!!!! Do not be fooled. If you send them money, you will not get a dime back from them. Please believe me, it is all a scam to get your money. Best wishes.

NO it happened to me and they sent an actual check!!! for $2.999. You need to take it, the envelope check, paper and all to yoru bank.. It is a scam and the materials you will provide them will go into a police investigation!
If you cash it by the time it goes through the bank will have found out the check is no good and you WILL BE LIABLE!
You cannot win a lotto in another country, let alone one you never bought a ticket for, and especially not if they claim something "online" it is a SCAM. DO NOT DO IT.
Take it to your banks branch manager, all of it.

Absolutely not, don't do it. It is a scam. I've received several of these winning letters, some even with checks included for me to cash first, to cover the expenses for transfer fees. The checks are stolen. Don't give them any info. Tear it up.

They are asking you for money and asking you to send it to Africa-- but its from Australia--totally fake-- DO NOT SEND THESE PEOPLE ANY MONEY-- its called a Nigeria scam or something like that. DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY-- DELETE THE EMAIL-- REPORT IT AS SPAM--ITS TOTAL BULLS**T

1, did you buy a lottery ticket for the Australian lottery? if no, then it is a scam.. 2. even if you bought the ticket, unless you left your email address, name phone number and address when you bought it, they will not know YOU purchased it.. they can tell what store it came from (at least here in the US they can) but they never know WHO won it until they claim their ticket. you did not win anything... all you won was their email bot picked your email address out of their list of email addresses to send that email to.
