You're wrong. It WAS inspired by God.
Read Timothy 3:16-All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine for reproof, for correction for instruction in righteousness.

Seriously, Boopie you sound like you need some help with this answer. There is tons of Archaeological evidence, that proves that the Bible is not only credible but true. For example the existance of Jesus is not even a question. Records of the first century from non religious sources have proved that. It is a well known fact. St. Paul existed. A well known fact!
Moses is the Author of the first five books of the Bible. The Egyptians history agrees with this. The story of Joseph is also one Egyptian history and records support.
BTW I am a Christian.
Get to researching and you will find that I am correct!
Start at the History Channel. They have volumes of info on the topic.

The Bible was penned by men under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. There are several proofs for my assertion:
1. The unity throughout the 66 books of the Bible, even though they were penned by men of diverse backgrounds over a period of 1500 years.
2. Archaeological discoveries that corroborate the people, places and events mentioned in Scripture.
3. Hundreds of fulfilled prophecies.
4. Millions of transformed lives.

First the books of the bible are letters written to who ever the letters were addressed to. True enough they were men inspired by God and true they were groups of men but in court a government and they voted on what books would be placed in or out. The proof that you should have is called faith but if that doesn't suit you then do like i did and go on this big search to find your answer. It was kind of easy for me because i was in the military and was able to travel to different countries and find alot of my answers. but blessed searching

The word Bible comes from the Greek word that means "books". The Bible is a collection of Writings about God, about Gods relationship with human kind, about our relationship with God, and about how God wants people to relate to one another.
Many different people, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, rote the books of the Bible. The entire Bible was written in different times and places, over a period of approx. 1000 years, from about 900BC to 100AD
Inspired means that God is the author of the Bible, but it does not mean God dictated the Bible word for word.
God chose certain people who made use of their abilities with the Holy Spirit acting in them and through them. Then they wrote the truth that God wanted us to know for our salvation. There are 39 books in the Protestant Old Testament and 46 books in the Catholic Old Testament. We know the authenticity of this books and those of the new testaments because of other texts written such as Herodius 388-428BC, the earliest copy 900AD a 1300 yr lapse 8 copies generated as well as Ceasars Gaelic War written 48-58 BC with the earliest copy being in 900AD, a 950 yr lapse.
The New Testament written 40-100AD, earliest copy in 130AD and with the Old Testa. around 350AD, a 30-310 yr time lapse, no. of copies 5000+ Greek, 10,000 Latin 9,300 others.
Seriously these are facts, hope this shed some light to the questionnaire

Dear Boopie,
If you ever want to be enlightened, you must first learn the meaning of "stereo typing".
Clue: It doesn't mean typing with music.
Next: The Bible is the inspired word of God; or some eternal life being that has a method of talking to us by mental telepathy. He or She is probably a scientist from an advanced planet.
Proof: Approx: The Bible was written by about 50 different authors over a period of about 2500 years. Most of these authors never knew each other, they lived in a variety of countries and cultures.
Yet, as of now, no computer can find any contradiction in the Bible. Provided of course that only the real Bible text is used; Hebrew for the old Testament and Greek for the new testament.
Example: "Moderation in all things" did not originally mean middle of the road in all things. Moderation originally meant "kindness".
Which I have not been to you. However, I have been nice to you if you really really want to learn.

The Bible WAS inspired by God, He, or the Holy Spirit inspired the men to write the Bible. Then there was a certain group of men that set out with certain criteria as to what books should actually go int the Bible. You obviously are not a /Christian, AND DID NOT RESEARCH this point very well. I know a lot about this subject I have studied it thoroughly, they could not putt everything into the Bible, it would be way to big.

Right on, Boopie! You forgot to add it was brought together in a way that would make it seem more plausible... The entire NT is just the same story told in different ways, with the exception of Revelations. You also forgot that in the dark ages it was used to control the lowly masses. It's very clear that certain things were purposely left out - The Gospel of Judas, for one. They picked and chose what they deemed "worthy" - so was that the first real instance of censorship? I think it might have been.....

It was written by men inspired by God. Now you can take that 2 ways, that it was witten by just men, or you can take it that written by men who had God on their mind. Either way God has something to do with it. The facts are that whether you believe it is the supreme word of God or whether its just a book, there are many useful teachings in it. Being a natural born sinner like myself, I use it to help me not sin. For example "saith the preacher, the patient spirit is better than the proud in spirit, be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry, for anger resteth in the bosom of fools"ecclesiastes 7 Now what is wrong with that teaching? Nothing, that is a perfect message to any man or woman. Good Luck in your quest for knowledge and truth.

Didn't know that. Wasn't the bible made like 300 years after Jesus Christ's death? There was no way to keep a piece of paper for that long back then, so what would people know about a dude that died 300 years ago?
I'm agreeing with you, but do you have a link? This info that you provided should be common knowledge, but I'd like to read that website.
