I just finished carving my gourd and want to eat the seeds. Do i have to wait for them to dry, or just put them right in the oven with some seasoning?

Seperate and Clean your seeds from the pulp.

Rinse off.

Soak the seeds in Worcestershire Sauce in a zip lock baggy for an hour or more.

Spread the seeds on a baking pan add some melted butter (just enough to coat the seeds) or use "I can't believe it's not butter spray" to coat the seeds.

Sprinkle with Johnny's Season Salt.

Bake @ 350 for about 45 minutes untill goldedn/dark brown. Stir every ten minutes or so.

Hi! Pumpkin seeds are not harmful to humans. In India it is used to make a lot of sweets and savouries. It is also very tasty. The skin of the pumpkin seed is not eaten so it has to be first skined. Seeds from freshly cut pumpkin can be eaten but it is hard if not impossible to skin them properly. It is advisible first to dry it preperably in the sun for a day or two. Like any other edible seeds it is also nutritious. I am not sure as to which kinds of pumpkin seeds are edible. In my opinion if you can eat the pumpkin you can eat its seeds.

You don't have to dry the seeds first. Just dry-fry them in a hot pan for 5 to 10 minutes, turning them so they don't burn. Remove pan from heat and sprinkle some tamari or soy sause over them and eat while they're still warm. Yum!

I remember doing this when I was younger. Man were those seeds good. You inspired me to go get a pumpkin and make my own seeds tomorrow.

as long as they are clean, they don't have to be perfectly dry. Just put them on a cookie sheet and put a little olive oil-garlic salt is really good on them, but regular salt works too and then bake them

rinse them off first to get rid of the goo, then spread on a sheet in a single layer and season. Toast and enjoy!
