This is probably a really stupid question but here it goes anyway. Im a really shy person and i really want to ask this girl out. I am really bad at asking girls out directly so I was wondering if this idea is sorta creative or just stupid. I want to do something that is unique so I have an idea to ask her for her opinion on a story I wrote. The story is about us and it would compliment her on several things and leave the ending open for her to finish (basically say yes or no). Good or bad idea?

I think it's cute. I would totally go for a sweet writer-type guy, and she probably will, too.

Yes you should. You can make it even more special by giving it to her with some flowers. Girls dont seem to get them anymore. My daughter got them 2-3x during Jr. & Sr. high school, I have to say it melted her. I suggest red carnations, they mean "My poor heart aches for you". This will also give you a boost with her friends, I can hear it now... "He is soooo sweet, girl you better say yes, cuz if you dont I will!!" It's typical to give a dozen flowers, but you arent going for typical right! So be sure it is only 11 flowers. Tell her she is the only one who can make the boquet complete. And though she is much more beautiful/pretty than the flowers, she must stand in the mirror with the flowers in front of her. There SHE is the 12 flower. If she's not interested at least you will have the attention of every girl in school,. And Dont chicken out!!!!

I don't think this is stupid. It's unique and creative and if you're shy it avoids a confrontation. It really depends on the girl though. I know plenty of girls who would think it's stupid and not give it a second thought.

That's a new idea. I'd like it if a guy did that for me. It's way more creative and less intense than writing a poem for her. Just one thing: Don't be too preachy about your feelings for her. Keep it in a casually romantic state. Good luck.

I think that is such a sweet idea; however, you need to figure out the things she likes. Some girls might think that is ridicules and some will laugh. Just be sure she likes romance like you do. If she doesn't she just doesn't deserve you!

It depends on the girl. Is she young or old? does she like stories. I think its kinda cute. Corny but cute. At least she will know how you feel about her, and if any thing you'll get a yes or no. and remember, if you get a no don't worry. There are plenty of girls out there and there IS one for you. Be patient.

hmmm a story is a good idea. but dont use the word "us" as in u 2 together, it might creep her out. and dont go too crazy on the compliments also, but otherwise good idea!!! girls like creative things!!

I think it is cute, if you are in 4th grade, I think you should just go up to her and ask her out I know that you are shy but I am sorry to sound so rude but grow some balls, if she turns you down you know you tried but if she don't hey it could be something great. Just ask the girl out it won't hurt you. I promise.

awww thats really cute but will she like understand it. i think its a good idea and more guys should think of creative ways like it to ask girls out the then just plain old would you like to go out sometime. And for a shy guy she'll know it took alot of guts to give it to her. go for it sounds like a good plan.
