I personally like Toshibas. I own 4 of them and they usually last at least 10 years.
I have owned an RCA and a GE that were nothing but junk!
Popular doesn't necessarily mean good. I would buy a Toshiba again cuz they last long and have great picture quality and sound.

I would say that "most popular" and "most common" are two different things. Most Popular would probably be Sony, while most common would be Toshiba or something...

id say Sony just because its a known brand worldwide but that doesn't necessarily mean its the best
