Any body else here a "Groupie"? I am a "concert junkie" and a "Groupie". I love going to alot of concerts since I am heavily into music. I also love to hang out w/ the bands...I've gotten to meet a bunch of bands...the guys are very cool. There is one guy in a particular band, who shall remain nameless, that we have "hooked up" a few times when he comes into town. He is a major sweetheart. I would love to hear others experiences w/ bands....and also if you do "hook up" with a certain band member...have you ever developed feelings for the guy?....I keep this all in perceptive since I know woman are throwing themselves at these guys...and I know how it is & what it's all about being w/ a "Rocker" but I definitely have feelings for this one guy

I don't think I'd call myself a "groupie" in general, but when I was in my early 20's, my roommate and I were HUGE fans of this one particular band. (I'm not going to say the band) She had a crush on one of the guys in the band, and I had a crush on one of the other guys in the band. Lo and behold, one night when we got to the venue early for a show, my roommate met the guy I had a crush on. She was talking to him for a while before I walked over. (I had been at the bar picking us up some drinks.) I walked over, and we all talked for about 20 minutes, and then he asked me out for drinks after the show. I almost fainted. We dated for about 6 months, but finally called the dating thing off, because he lived about 3 1/2 hours from me, and toured all the time, and we just never saw each other. We stayed e-mail & phone buddies for a while, but then eventually just lost touch. I think well of him--he was a really sweet guy. Sometimes I still sort of "check up" on him on-line.

This is definitely cool. You sound more like a band-aid than a groupie. (Ever seen Almost Famous?) Just don't fall too hard for the guy — he's probably travelling and hooking up all the time.

But ain't that the idea with groupies? Guy with celebrity, and girls go bonkers for, so of course you'll have feelings for them? I suppose the more underground bands you can possibly hook up with, for somethin long-term. But i DOUBT it with more popular and public ones....might get some, but that's probably about it.
