No, I think that both factors are completely independent. It depends on the person. It may take a certain person a longer period of time to get back in one (after years of trying to find a significant other), others may decide to wait a long time to find someone else, and some may just decide to go on their own. Once you find someone (whether it is a day after being out of a relationship or 10 years), it's clear sailing from there.

For a long time after my first one, it was real hard for me to get back into the spirit of dating again, and then when I did, I came to find out that he just wasn't for me, and I wasn't ready, and then when I had another one, It was just pretty much a one night stand, which made me mad for a long time, and now that I am in a relationship again, everything seems to be going good so far, I am really happy, and feel like things are going right, I just hope it keeps going the way that it is, but being single for awhile after a relationship is good for you, gives you time to heal, and to figure out what you really want out of a relationship. my mom had told me once, that mr. right, was just around the cornor, and sure enough here he came..(I hope) but it can be hard at first. Hope this helps=-)

Yep! I've been alone for 7 years and don't ever plan on another relationship for the rest of my life. Too old and to used to my independence now! (and I'm a grumpy old fart)

time means clarity. the longer out of a relationship you are the more clarity you have about who you are, what you want, and goals for your personal future are established.

you will be fine (if thats why you asked). time is truly on our side, even if its falling tnhrough our fingers fast.

Yes, you get so used to being on your own - you can be selfish and flirt and do whatever you want. Sometimes it's hard to re-establish the boundaries of a relationship.

no, the longer you are out of a relationship, the easier for you to get into one.

No I think once you get out of one, depending on the person it shouldn't be that hard.

Not at all,you just have to be more careful of how fast you get into one,and how fast you fall in love.
