the harder it is to get back in one?

I think it would be harder to get into another unhealthy one. Time out of a "relationship" is time well-spent, provided one reflects on the lessons given. Too often, people dive into another relationship before they've had a chance to analyze what went wrong with the previous one. These people are more likely to believe that love is the first spark one feels, rather than a "work in progress." Dove-tailing is just a way to avoid asking oneself the hard questions: What do I want? What am I willing to give?

I think that the longer you are out of a relationship you have more time to figure out exactly what you want when you are back in one. I think that once you achieve a certain sense of independance you become far more particular of who you want to date and you won't settle for less that what you really deserve. You sound like a very smart person and I wish you the best.

Well it all depends on how the person is. Like me if im out of a relationship for too long I start to love it a little too much to get back in one. Single is love!

Well it is not hard but it's different, because you are more careful of choosing a guy.And you think 10 times more to avoid mistakes of the past, or heart broken feelings. Depending on the age or experience, you are trying to avoid bad relationships or the ones that do not satisfy your new ambitions.Basically, you grow up!

yes for me after my 8 year marriage i was not ready to even date till a year later. It took a long time to trust and feel and love again. If it was short relationship you do get over it faster. if your young and not commited you should move on fast.

Sometimes. It depends on how your previous relationship ended. If it ended well, then it's much easier to start a new one.

Not at all. Just means that you have attained a level of security that doesn't need to be filled by someone else. Do it when you feel comfortable.

If to get in one means, to acquire a new gf( in my case) or bf (in yours), yes, it's hard. But I'm not sure it has anything to do with, how long a person hasn't been in one.
