When we don't have any fruit, whole grain bread, yogurt, ect. As you can see we need to go to the store; but what we do have is: eggs, cheese, cereal, and soy milk. Would a cheese omelet be good?

Certainly a cheese omelet is good and healthy. The cheese has fat so if you need to watch that then go easy, but I do love cheese on my eggs. Of course eggs can be prepared other ways too, and eaten with or without the eggs. A bowl of cereal with the soy milk and a boiled or poached egg gives you a good breakfast too.

If you want to make the cheese omelet healthier, you can always remove the egg yolk. Don't know abou the soy milk in the omelet but worth a try.

If you are lazy and in a rush...you can alway mix the ingredients (egg whites, cheese, and soy milk) in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 45 seconds (or so), use a fork to turn it over, and cook for another 30 seconds. Makes a quick microwave-omelet.

Good luck.

actually cheese omelet is really a great idea!! but i will add some onions and vegie to make it a complete meal (since it's all protein, fats , vitamins , calcium but no fibre). However i do think that it might be too heavy for me.. think of the calories and fat intake. For me, i will only take a omelet and soy milk, or cereal with soy milk .. if i take the cheese omelet, maybe i will take it with just water or fruit juice.... but it's my personal preference...

A cheese omelet would be OK.But the next time you go to the store I suggest you stock your ref with fruits and other stuff. It would be good to include a fruit in your breakfast or whole grain/wheat bread.Bacon is yummy with omelet, and sort of healthy. I hope I helped.

If you could only eat what you list is available, I'd have to suggest you eat cereal and soy milk. Cheese is too high in calories and fat to be healthy although it does taste good. Eggs are fine from time to time but not if your cholesterol is high. I think you'd better get to the store.

If you want to stay on the healthy side, use egg whites only, low fat cheese and spray the frying pan with a non-stick spray.

If you'd rather have the whole egg, use the cheese to make your omelet. You can always add veggies, such as peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes and onions if you have them.

melt some cheese in hot milk. make a thick 'sauce'
scrammble some eggs. when they are half done put the cheese suace on 1 half and fold the other half to make a pocket.
if you do it right you can flip the egg over without spill.
bake till nice and brown.

enjoy.

It depends on what type of cereal you have, but ceral and milk is pretty healthy. I eat cereal and milk almost every day for breakfast. Cheese omlets are pretty high in fat.
