When you put ANYTHING into your body, there will always be health concerns, it just depends on if the benefits outweigh the risks. For example, eating food, usually the benefits outweigh the risks. But certain medications, I guess it just depends on how much you want to get better. It also depends on how you take sodium phosphate, whether orally or intravenously....either way it will change the osmolarity of your extracellular fluid and water balance if not taken isotonically.
