People ar emore likely to be mentally healthy when they are physically healthy.

As for preferance, I guess that depends on what you mean by mental health. I could deal with a little personality disorder but I woudn't be able to live trapped inside my mind. For that matter, I wouldn't want to have a functioning mind without a working body.

Eh. Still physically healthy. That's my answer.

P.S. To respond to another answer, Pam Anderson is actually a very intelligent woman. Do you mean Jessica Simpson?

Between both, mentally healthy of course, but usually both come together, as the greek advice: healthy mind in a healthy body; however sometimes you have people that are severy ill and are happy and calm, so they have a healthy mind in a sick body.
The best way to be mentally healthy is to keep your mind busy always in something that makes you happy or proud of yourself, and when you get tired of it you may cahnge to another activity like practicing your favorite sport, so thats a easy way to get both, physical and mental health!

Mentally healthy by far. We all just want to be happy and have peace of mind.

Having a sick body may cause you to have mental health issues and having mental health issues may cause you to be physically sick.

However, both seem to get better when we straighten out spiritually.

When I was unhealthy and weighted alot, I was very depressed and my doctor wanted to put me on pills and stuff. I changed the way I ate and started exercising. You can see my pic here http://www.healthandstrength.net I lost a total of 54lbs and came out of my depression! So staying physically healthy, will help with your metal health. You should maybe talk to someone too if you feel there is something bothering you. They are there to help.

I don't think it's better to be one or the other. The mind effects the body and the body effects the mind. We need for both to be in good shape so they can work together and keep us healthy.
