As for the walls, wait at least 24 hours for the mud to dry (48 hours if you are in a cooler climate). Then take a couple of new large damp sponges and wipe the walls clean. Be careful not to get the sponges to damp - just enough to capture the dust left on the walls.
Then, assuming that the floors are still concrete; they can vacuumed up with a decent hepa-filter shop vac.

vacuum, vacuum, vacuum! Then wet mop the floor, as for the walls there is no reason for you to clean before paint the dust is so fine it in no way will effect the paint, if you feel you need to a dry cloth is best, my entire home was paneling and we are replacing it w/drywall and we're on the 5th room. I did a LOT of research before starting and haven't had a problem yet.Good Luck!!

as far as the floor goes (i assume it's still concrete) a good way is to get some dust compound (it keeps the dust down when you sweep) and sweep it up. if you mop it, it may deposit the drywall compund into cracks and stuff. as for the walls, a damp (like, very slightly damp) cloth may do the trick to wipe it down, just avoid the areas you mudded. in the future, i would reccomend (this is what i do) holding a dustpan against the wall under the area you sand. this catches most of the dust as it falls, and helps with clean up speed. hope this helps, and happy renovating!

Sounds like you need a shop vac with a good filter. But I've damp mopped everything after that to get rid of all that very fine dust.

You may know that they make vacuum attachments for many sanders. It just attaches a hose from your shop vac to the sander. Mush less messto begin with.
Vacuum it up, use a broom on the walls & cieling, vacuum again.
