You could be changing her food to often and not giving it a chance to work. Some of the best foods out there that do not give as much gas are Royal Canin, Eukenuba, Science Diet, and Iams. Royal Canin is very digestable so the pets do not poop as much and they dont have as much gas. Dog Food is kind of like people food. The better food is going to cost a little bit more, but it is well worth it in the end. When you are changing her food you need to slowy transist her into the new food. You need to mix the two foods for about two weeks, and close to the end of the second week make it 3/4 the new food and a 1/4 the old food until you no longer put the old food in the mix. Give it about two months on the new food and you should see a big difference. I advise you put her on the Royal Canin dog food. They have a big variety of foods and they have a good food for high energy dogs like your spaniel. I would put her on the adult 37(I believe it is). The only thing you can do is try and see if it works, but actually give it a chance to work. You can get Royal Canin at any Petsmart.

Stick with one brand. Changing foods upsets many dogs' stomachs. If you must change, do it gradually, over about a 10 day period. Use just a 1/4 new food to old food for a couple days, then 1/2 and 1/2, then 3/4 new for the last few days.
Yoghurt also helps relieve gas. A tablespoon or two a day should help eat the acids in her stomach that are causing the excessive gas.
Unless your girl is highly active, puppy chow will soon have her overweight and will add to her gas!

Try premium foods that will have healthy ingredients. Also, add yogurt to her meals. About two tablespoons per each meal. Use lowfat plain or nonfat plain yogurt. This will help her digestion. Some great foods that are really made for your dogs health in mind are: Canidae, Chicken Soup For The Dog Lover's Soul, Wellness, Innova, Natural Balance, and there are more. When changing brands, be sure to gradually add the old to the new. Start with 50/50. Then over about two weeks time, gradually add more of the new food until you are feeding 100% of the new. This will be less disruptive to her digestive system.

Brittany's are great dogs. I had one and she lived to be eighteen years old. She was the sweetest dog I have ever had.
Best to you and your Brittany.

Well I work in a petstore and so I meet a lot of people with the same problem. The first thing I can tell you is that Ultra food is by far the best for the problem as it is easiest to digest. Next, you need to slow down the rate she is eating so she is not gulping up air which she eventually passes as gas. They sell special bowls, but a large Rock (one she cannot fit in her mouth) in the center of her food bowl will do the trick. Since she has to eat around the obstruction, it slows the speed at which she is eating=less air=less gas. If that doesn't work, they sell these little doggy gas tablets that work ok.

Ok Have you tried Nutro dog foods? Dogs like people have gas.... But if you keep changing their diet, it going to make it worse. They a dog food for a month and see if there is a change. DO NOT USE CAN FOOD. Dry only. Many people mix can and dry and if you dog has a sensitive stomac then it is just going to be worse.
Nutro has a sensitive line too. this may help. also look in pet smart for some Gas x type of suppliments.

Dog gas is unavoidable. Lamb and Rice, is probably the best of all the flavored dog foods out there. It's easy on the digestion. One thing you DON'T want to do is keep changing brands, stick to one manufacturer, like Hills Science Diet, or Purina One. Personaly I have found Pedigree gives all my dogs diarreah. Gas can also be a sign that she needs to go poo. I discovered when my dogs spewed gas, they needed to go outside. lol Unless the vet finds some intestinal problems, I don't think you should worry, you'll just have to put up with the smell and sit upwind of her butt. :D

You are changing her food too often. Keep her on just one brand for at least 3 weeks, if you go to change mix the two for at least one week. Keep her on the puppy chow and you may want to consider what you are giving her as treats. It may not be the food but the biscuits or "snacks" you are giving her. Keep her on one snack. Mine get a mini carrott for a snack, to help with nutrition and weight.

Try a sensitive stomach dog food, and be sure that it is dry food, not wet. Science diet makes the kind I feed my dog, and it works well. Also be careful what types of treats you give her and that no one feeds her table scraps. If it persists, consult your vet again.
