I have a pregnant dachshund who is 52 days into her pregnancy. She already has full milk bags and is starting to have diarrhea. would diarrea be a sign of her being close to labor? Also how long do you think it'll be before she has her puppies? (estimate).

She won't be in labor until at least 58 days, unless something is very wrong.. Before that time, she would have preemies..Milk comes in from 2-3 weeks before whelping. when it is time, she will refuse her favorite treat..then you know it is likely to be within 6 hours or so.

She will start digging in her bedding(make sure you have a place fixed for her to have them). She will lick her genitals. She will pant heavily. You may notice a doischarge a few days before she whelps, You may notice a watery sac. That is the sac containing the first baby. Don't disturb the sac. I don't believe diarrhea is a sign of labor except that your pup will go into labor a few days after milk
