We call her privates "girl stuff" and boy's privates "boy stuff"
I taught my daughter to pat herself from the front when she urinates (Gini, did you "pat, pat, pat?") and to wipe from the back when she has a bowel movement. I also got her some of the Huggies kids wet wipes that are flushable to make sure she gets clean.

Just tell her to wipe the peepee off, you don't have to name the part until she asks what to call it. Then tell her it's a vagina.

So she calls a vagina a vagina in public...that is what it IS. ALL of the women I know from birth to death have one.

be truthful about it, who cares if you are embarassed, it's your life. Every book I have read tell me to call my children's private part penis and vagina so I will. It's the right way. Would you call a tiger a cat? why would you call a vagina a hoo hoo? Think this over.

there's nothing wrong with teaching her the proper terms, it's the best actually, and you shouldn't be embarrassed if she says vagina in public, at least she knows what she's talking about (what's she gonna say anyway, "I have a vagina"? what's wrong with that?)
there are much worse things she could say in public, like mommy farted, or something like that

I just told my daughter to be sure to wipe dry where the peepee came out, from front to back. She never questioned it. (I hope she wipes her nose first! LOL!)

I have a boy but we called his a penis from the beginning. I would call it a vagina if I had a girl or if you aren't comfortable with that you could call it her privates or pee pee or whatever you called it when you were little.

It may sound crazy but my sister used to tell my niece to always wipe and keep your pocket book clean, but never let anyone open it without telling momma.

i was pretty general with my kids and told them to wipe their butt or bottom. I was told though when teaching kids body parts its better to call it what it is instead of making up some name.

Just use the real names.
No one makes up alternate names for their arm or foot. Be mature and teach her the correct names. It really istn't that big of a deal.
