A kid could really hurt himself by lifting weights before his skeleton has developed...15 or 16 is OK but not heavy weights...before that natural body exercise will make him strong with out injuring him...ie...pushups, chin-ups, dips, crunches...otherwise he will pay for it later in life...trust me on this

I don't think anyone is too young to start fitness. Even young children should be encouraged to be active and play hard to raise their heart rates.
Boys can begin weight training at an early age (8-10 yrs old) but won't begin bulking muscle until after puberty (16-18 yrs old).

A healthy weight for you is 99lbs to 124lbs. I doubt that Flirty Girl Fitness can deliver on it's promises. 2 jeans sizes is about 20 pounds and it is not healthy, advisable, or realistically possible to lose 20 pounds in 10 days. 20 pounds should take 10-20 weeks.

Body building started too young they lose there range of motion in shoulder So its important to have a coach, light weights and frequent reps
.About age 16 when they stop getting taller is a good time to start progressive weight training.

One can never be too young to be active and physically fit! It's *very* important to have the right attitude about it, especially when one is young. The goal of physical activity really should be physical health and not appearance. Looking good is just an added bonus. Our society puts far too much stress on the way we are "supposed" to look. If your son wants to work out, great! Yoga is a great way to exercise the body, mind and spirit (and also makes the body look good too!)

it's never too early to learn good eating and exercise habits. children should be encouraged to be active and not spend too much time in front of the TV or computer.
For building muscle, it's not a good idea for boys under the age of 16 to lift heavy wieghts because their joints are still developing and solidifying.

Any age is good. Just make sure he is maintaning a healthy diet and getting enough sleep. Of course, don't allow him to make fitness his only priority.

Anyone before the age of 17 should only exercise using their own body weight Ex. pushups, situps, pullups. Light weights etc..Heavy weight lifting can damage the muscle and bone and cause damage. They are cases where the weight lifting was so excessive that it has stunted growth in teens.
Young kids - running, baseball, hockey, football will give all the muscle and tone they need
